This is the Horrific Moment a Man Was Kicked Through a Double Decker Bus' Upstairs Window

We love the faithful old Routemaster bus here at Giz, but as a born-and-bred Londoner who is not afraid of the odd night bus journey, I've seen my fair share of nasty happenings on them. This clip, however, is something else.

In it, a man is kicked by another passenger so powerfully that he is thrown through the upstairs window of one of the red double deckers. In broad daylight, too. The footage, taken from a 254 bus travelling along Seven Sisters Road on December 27th 2012, was captured by a security camera on another bus travelling immediately behind. The man was lucky not to have been run over -- though that will come as little comfort, having been left paralysed by the fall.

The footage was part of the BBC's The Route Masters: Running London's Roads programme, looking at how the British Transport Police service tackles crimes on the bus network. You can watch it through iPlayer here.
