24-year-old Michelle Chapman came up with a seemingly bulletproof revenge plan. She created Facebook accounts for relatives she hated, then sent herself violent abuse messages from those accounts in an attempt to frame them. Didn't work. Now she's in prison.
Chapman's plan involved reporting this fictional abuse to the police, which resulted in the arrest of her stepmother and warnings for other family members she attempted to implicate/ her plan fell apart when computer experts examined IP address logs and found out the hate accounts had been created via a computer based in her own home.
She's been given a 20-month jail sentence and has had her computer confiscated. [Daily Mail]
