The mounting tensions between Ukraine and Russia is serious business, and world leaders are understandably concerned as to what repercussions Russia's act of aggression in the region will lead to. Lengthy, serious phone calls will be had -- but do we really need a photo of a politician's "serious face" to highlight that?

Twitter's celebs and comedians think not. In talks with US President Barack Obama, David Cameron's Twitter account last night posted the following tweet:

Now, social media interaction with the populace is a good thing -- for those that don't actively engage in political or world affairs, the odd retweet or update may allow unreached persons to take part in conversations affecting the world around them, where they'd otherwise be excluded. The fact that they are personally discussing the matters in Ukraine is reassuring, but trying to score political points with a super cereal photo just comes across as indulgent, which Twitter's wittiest stars have been quick to call out.
