The LG G2, pictured above, was a bit of a missed opportunity by LG. Though its hardware was smokin', its software was a mess and its rear-mounted button just plain weird. LG will be looking to right the wrongs of the G2 with the freshly-confirmed G3, set to be the company's mobile flagship for 2014.
Revealed in LG's quarterly financial results, the company states that "higher revenues are expected in the second quarter with the release of the flagship LG G3 smartphone."
So, what to expect from the G3 ahead of its summer release? Previous leaks suggest that fingerprint scanning tech may be included, alongside a 5.5-inch quad HD 2560 x 1440 display. That'd deliver a 534ppi display. 3GB of RAM and an OIS+ camera are also tipped for inclusion, with the phone said to have a polycarbonate build rather than a metal one. [LG]
