Who knew an artist could release so many albums after his death? The king of pop Michael Jackson was working on new material when he died tragically back in 2009, but Epic Records' L.A. Reid has cobbled together the various bits with Timbaland and a bunch of other producers, to create some really rather remarkable.
I had an early preview of the album last night, and whatever your favourite period of Jackson's life, I'm sure you'll dig what you hear. Few dancefloor-fillers, with the requisite "hee hee" shrieks.
Released on May 13th, the album will be available for free from the Xperia Lounge app on the Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia M2, Xperia M2 Dual and Xperia Z1S.
While not quite the exclusive offer Samsung snagged with Jay Z, giving away his latest album Magna Carta Holy Grail for free a week before the general release, it does go some way to proving Sony's new "One Sony" messaging, which has been sorely missing for some time now.
