If you've had it up to the eyeballs with spandex and superpowers, look away now. The rest of you true believers, rejoice! Marvel Studios has superhero movies lined up until the year 2028.
“It’s like looking through the Hubble telescope,” Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, told Businessweek. “You go, ‘What’s happening back there? I can sort of see it.’”
“They printed out a new one recently that went to 2028,” said Feige, revealing that his office hides a map that tracks and links together the Marvel Studios movie plans for the next 14 years.
So what's in the works then? Captain America: Winter Soldier has just hit cinemas, and we know that Ant Man and Avengers: Age of Ultron are in production, while Guardians of the Galaxy is released in August. There's also a third Avengers movies in the pipeline, plus Doctor Strange, but beyond that, who knows? Keep in mind that the latest run of Spider-Man movies are Columbia / Sony Pictures flicks, which keeps the web-slinger out of Marvel Studios' hands until the license deal is up. The X-Men franchise, including X-Men: Days of Future Past and the Wolverine films, is handled by 20th Century Fox. [Businessweek]
