A Slow-Mo Video of the World's Steepest Water Slide Looks Like Wet 'n' Wild Torture

By Gerald Lynch on at

You've already chickened out of riding the world's tallest waterslide -- could you stomach the vertical drop of the world's steepest instead?

Looking to entice thrill-seekers at Sea World Orlando Aquatica Park in Florida, the Breakaway Falls ride places visitors in three enclosed perspex tubes, allowing each to face the terrified faces of their fellow dropees. Standing on a trap door platform, the floor beneath riders breaks away leaving a vertical fall down into the 80-foot watery tunnel below.

By the looks of this POV slo-mo video, it's a bowel-shuddering experience. Better keep some mops and buckets ready at the exit.[YouTube via Metro]
