24 is an utterly preposterous television show and, naturally, that's why people love it. If it was realistic then huge swathes of the show would involve watching reams of paperwork being filled out and Jack Bauer playing Angry Birds on the loo.
Mercifully, the makers decided that running around and shouting while shooting and punching would be much more fun. With that, if you've missed the show, you can get a box set of seasons 1 to 8 with Redemption in new tidy packaging for just £30. This is the lowest price seen yet for a complete (to date) box set of 24. Have a look here. The clock is ticking.
