Will LG's G Watch be the First Android Wear Device You Can Buy?

By Gary Cutlack on at

LG's attempt at convincing the world it needs another way to be continually informed about local cinema times will arrive in July, with the angular G Watch said to arrive with an RRP of approximately £180.

The July launch date, hinted at during last night's G3 launch, means LG's smartwatch will be well placed to capitalise on the wrist-rage that's sure to be unleashed following Google's I/O developer event at the end of June, with Google expected to devote much of its Android event to promoting the Wear version of its mobile OS.

Will anyone care, though, even with Wear running things and at a price tag that's substantially less than Samsung's Gear series? [Guardian]
