Facebook is Letting Addicts Get Their Farmville Fix on the Go With an iPad App Gaming Update

Have you ever been in the situation where you have to leave the house, but you really don't want to because you don't want to miss the chance to harvest your Farmville crops before they go bad? I haven't either, but some people probably have. Luckily for them, Facebook has announced that it's bringing games to its iPad app.

The update, which has already been released in the US, adds two new columns to the app's News Feed: 'My Games', a list of games you already play, and Popular Games', a list of recommendations. Portrait fanboys will not be pleased, however, as the new columns only appear in landscape mode.

Considering Facebook has included irritatingly addictive games for four or five years now, it's surprising that it has taken it so long to include them on mobile devices. Not that people addicted to Facebook games won't be overjoyed at the opportunity to get their fix on the go. [Facebook via Digital Spy]
