BT Apologises for Problem That Deprived Customers of Internet for a Few Hours

By Tom Pritchard on at

A problem that saw BT broadband customers unable to access certain parts of the internet has been fixed according to the @BTCare Twitter account.

The problem, which reportedly started around 9.30 this morning, affected customers from all over the country and prevented them from accessing websites like eBay, Facebook, Twitter, and BT's very own help pages.

There's no official word on what caused the problems, but BT has apologised and is said to be investigating the matter.

For now, BT customers across the country are content with the fact that they can while away their Saturday looking at cat pictures without interruption. [Twitter via BBC News]
