You may remember that earlier this year Microsoft took to email snooping to find the person responsible for leaking Windows 8 to a French tech blog in 2012. You may also remember that Alex Kibkalo, the person responsible, was caught. Well after pleading guilty, he's been sentenced to three months in prison for the crime of stealing trade secrets.
Kibkalo worked for Microsoft for seven years and was originally set to pay $22,500 (£13,257) in restitution in addition to his prison sentence, but that appears to have been dropped. [The Seattle Times via Slashgear]
