Microsoft is Falling Behind in the Virtual Reality Race

By Tom Pritchard on at

Sources have informed TechRadar that while Microsoft is working on its own virtual reality headset, it's still in the early stages and they're quite a bit behind Sony and Oculus Rift. Maybe they spent a little bit too much time trying to convince consumers that they really did need a Kinect?

It's surprising though, since Microsoft is in a prime position to market to both PC and Xbox gamers, and integrating VR with Kinect has already proven to work.

But how cool would it be to play Titanfall with virtual reality and Kinect? It doesn't even have to be very good, just as long as it's better than Steel Battalion Heavy Armor. [TechRadar]
