There's a new top-level domain to consider when starting up your next angry blog project, with the .scot tag going live for some organisations at midday today.
The domain's designed to be owned by those specialising in Scottish business and culture, with the separate 'Yes' and 'No' independence campaigns among the first to register their .scot sites. Only a small bunch of "launch pioneers" are able to use the name for the next 60 days, though, with access to everyone coming in late September.
Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon says the move will help "...promote Scottish business and culture throughout the world" as well as giving IT admins another thing to worry about. [BBC]
