Sony is Filming the Tour de France by Strapping Cameras Onto Sheep

By Gerald Lynch on at

When the directorial choices of regular sports broadcasters just don't have the flair you're looking for, where do you turn? If you're Sony, you just say "sod it", and strap a load of action cams onto the backs of a flock of sheep.

Hoping to ram home just how hardy Sony's wearable AS100VR ActionCam is, the flock will be capturing the Yorkshire leg of the Tour de France. That's if they're not stood staring at a hedgerow or something. Wool they be able to cope? I hope all the sheep get given a little yellow jersey for their efforts (or at least a sunny-coloured dye for their fleeces). [Sony]
