If this isn't enough to make you hit eBay and buy all your long-lost original Jurassic Park toys, I don't know what will. The classic dino movie's sequel, Jurassic World, looks to be in safe hands going by this first teaser poster.
Created by artist Mark Englert, it's based on concept art from the new film and brainstorming sessions with the movie's director, Colin Trevorrow. Englert gives some fascinating, detailed insight into his creative process on his blog:
After milling over what I'd like to see as a fan, I decided to try and incorporate elements from the previous movies and try to connect how they have led up to the newest story in the series. Jurassic World takes place back on Isla Nublar, where the park from the first movie failed before it even opened. I wanted to subtly establish the setting, the theme of nature overtaking technology and that a new park with a new story was being built on what had come before... I also just wanted a cool shot of a Raptor.
You can see the poster and its metal variant in full below. I think I see eggs nestled by that jeep! The poster is a limited run, and will be available to a few lucky attendees at the San Diego Comic Con. Englert will also be giving a few away on his Facebook page. Jurassic World hits cinemas on June 12th, 2015. I can hear that classic theme tune fanfare already. [TacoBelvedere]
Cheers for the tip, Ant!
