EE might be the top dog when it comes to the amount of 4G coverage in the UK, but in the battle for title of "most reliable network" it seems like Three is starting to become a serious contender. According to a tests by RootMetrics, EE came out on top with a score of 90.5, with Three not far behind with 89.9.
The scores themselves are based on over 90,000 tests that are carried out in cities across the UK and measure how consistently each network can carry out call, text, and data requests. So it's not unfair to say that they're fairly extensive and accurate.
EE might have still had a victory for all of the UK, but Three did come out on top in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and came out joint top in Wales. If I was EE I'd be more than a little concerned about that.
The final results indicated that Three has consistently good service, even if it's not the fastest network available. Sadly it's not all good news, since the network also came dead last for call performance. [RootMetrics via TechRadar]
