Sony Has New Standalone Lens Cameras for Your Weird-Angle Selfies

Sony's just expanded its line of standalone, clip-on lens cameras, adding the ILCE-QX1 and DSC-QX30 to its growing range. Clipping on to the back of a smartphone and using the touchscreen for shutter controls, or working almost as well without a connected blower thanks to built-in hardware buttons, they let you take compact-camera quality photos without the need for a full-fat camera.

The ILCE-QX1 looks the fancier of the the two new launched, compatible with any of Sony's detachable Alpha lenses. The DSC-QX30 on the other hand focuses on long-range shooting, featuring a 30x optical zoom and, 60x "Clear Image" digital zoom.
