Matthew Barzun, the United States' ambassador to the UK, is not happy with the local diet. He's complained about the quantity of "lamb and potatoes" he's had to eat since arriving here, disrespecting our classic Sunday treat.
In an interview with Tatler magazine, Barzun was asked what his favourite form of ambassadorial food is, to which he responded: "I’ll tell you what I would not serve - lamb and potatoes. I must have had lamb and potatoes 180 times since I have been here. There are limits and I have reached them."
One serving of fries and some processed chicken from the children's menu for the ambassador, please. And put some cheese on it. [Independent]
