A "Prototype" iPhone 6 is Currently Selling for £37,000 on eBay

Someone who was apparently sent a non-final version of the iPhone 6 when upgrading through US network Verizon has put the thing on sale, with the prototype phone, running in developer mode and without iOS 8 installed, currently going for a five-figure price.

This particular iPhone 6 comes with a red lightning port and no certification markings on the rear, points the seller says verifies his mobile lottery winning luck. The listing ends on October 9th, unless Apple's legal people have a word with eBay before then.

Update: As of 5.30pm on Monday 6th of October, the auction had reached  184 bids and $94,800 / £59,153.
