He's been out of the tech leaking scene for a little while, but Twitter tech whisperer @EvLeaks posted an intriguing render to his feed today. Could this be the Nexus 6, AKA the "Shamu" phone that Motorola has reportedly been working on?
It certainly looks very similar to the render that Android Police was able to put together from its own glimpse of the device, right down to the new messaging icon and Play apps folder.
Given that the phone is expected to be a 5.9-inch device, the volume rocker and power button placement in this new render certainly support that. They sit close to halfway down the phone, which would certainly be a comfortable position for them to sit at on a phone that size. Appearing to have a slightly curved back (finished in a grey-blue shade), the handset also looks as though it has front-facing stereo speakers.
The Nexus 6 is expected to launch this month and, depending on which rumours you give credence to, could land as early as tomorrow. As well as being the first handset to run Android L, the oversized handset is also rumoured to feature a 13MP rear camera, QHD (496ppi) display and whopping 3,200mAh battery pack. [@EvLeaks]
