A new iPad Mini was unveiled at tonight's showpiece event in Cupertino. It's the imaginatively named iPad Mini 3, and despite rumours of a delay it's coming rather soon.
It comes packing with a 7.9-inch Retina display, an HD front-facing camera for Facetime, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and if you're some sort of evil villain it has a 5MP camera and records 1080p video. Like the iPad Air 2 the iPad Mini 3 has TouchID, presumably this is for the iPad's cut-down version of Apple Pay. Disappointingly it won't run on Apple A8 processor, instead running on an A7.
It'll be available with storage options of 16, 64, and 128GB, costing £319, £399, and £479 respectively for the Wi-Fi only models. LTE enabled models will be available for £419, £499, and £579. As always it'll be available in the usual colours of gold, space grey, and silver.
Pre-orders open tomorrow.
