Having blown our minds by appearing to make Covent Garden levitate, artist Alex Chinneck has now built another surreal structure -- a slowly-melting house made of wax. Did the tale of The Three Little Pigs teach us nothing?
Made from 8,000 wax bricks, the "A Pound of Flesh for 50p" installation piece is situated on London's Blackfriars Road. Sitting on a site that has been used intermittently as a stables, residential housing and even a Post Office, it's designed to celebrate the history and life within London's buildings. The structure is expected to survive until October 26th, and was commissioned as part of the Merge Festival. [Merge Festival]
