More of us Believe in Ghosts than God

By Gary Cutlack on at

A survey of 2,000 Brits makes for sad reading on the omnipotent Kindle of God, revealing that just over half of us believe in aliens -- but only a quarter believe there's a bearded invisible man living in the sky.

The poll, for Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, asked 1,500 adults and 500 children exactly what they do believe in, with 55 per cent of the adults saying they believe in ghosts and just 25 per cent sticking up for the existence of a god.

Children were a little more likely to believe imaginary things, with 33 per cent thinking there might be a god, but a stonking 64 per cent of kids saying aliens and ghosts are real things -- probably thanks to the rise in quality of CG over the last decade. [Independent via io9]
