The iPad Pro was sadly missing from Apple's (slightly lacklustre) autumnal event, but it's still said to be knocking about factory floors in prototype form, with a new load of supply chain leaks hinting at some fresh features that may be coming along with the oversized tablet.
According to Macotakara, the tablet could be slightly smaller than originally thought, down from 12.9-inches to 12.2-inches. And despite being one of the larger slates out there, it could still stay very slim -- smaller in fact than the iPhone 6 Plus at 7mm and just a tad bigger than the 6.9mm iPhone 6. The iPad Pro could also get an audio boost compared to previous Apple tablets -- designed for more regular landscape use than other iPad models, it will have stereo speakers at either end of the device, with its size leading to a greater degree of stereo separation.
As for launch details, they remain clouded in mystery. As mentioned earlier, many had expected to see the iPad Pro revealed in 2014 for a release before the end of the year. But with iPhone 6 demand said to be hot, it's now unlikely to even enter production until early next year. [Macotakara via Cult of Mac]
