Vaping and e-cigarettes are everywhere these days. More and more people are carrying around those cylindrical metal flutes and blowing out giant cloud puffs that it all seems so common. But because the industry is so new, no one really knows what's going to happen. The New Yorker made this short doc to find out.
On one side, you have neat little shops supporting a subculture of enthusiasts where people talk about vaping like wine and enjoy blowing clouds in rooms like they're having a drink at a speakeasy. On the other side, you have people of science and medical professionals and politicians worrying about what vaping is going to become and what it's doing to our body and how things like liquid nicotine aren't regulated. It's going to be interesting to see where this goes.
