Being Stoned During Amsterdam's Festival of Light Must Have Been Some Trip

By Gerald Lynch on at

Amsterdam enjoyed its third-annual Festival of Light in November. This time-lapse video from filmmaker Jack Fisher shows off the psychedelic spectacle in all its multi-coloured majesty:

Filmed over seven days, Fisher took to some of the city's highest vantage points (Regardz Tower and The Rembrandt Tower board room, for example) to get a bird's-eye view of the event, as well as capturing some incredible shots from beneath canal-spanning lighting canopies.

Considering Amsterdam has a few very specific tourism draws, *coughdrugssexdrugscough*, it must have been a particularly illuminating time to visit the capital of the Netherlands.

Who needs mushrooms when you've got magical art installations like these? [Jack Fisher, Vimeo]
