Sony Just Accidentally Released a New Promo for 'The Interview'

By Ashley Feinberg on at

Despite the fact that Sony has absolutely no plans to release The Interview in any way anytime soon, a new promo just popped up on YouTube. Somewhere, a PR intern is about to have a very, very bad day.

The clip, which bears the unfortunate tagline of "In Franco & Rogen we trust," was more likely than not an overlooked, pre-scheduled upload. The YouTube summary makes absolutely no mention of any of the drama surrounding the now-cancelled release, so more likely than not, a PR intern somewhere is about to suffer dearly.

Only one movie has the whole world talking. In Rogen and Franco we trust.

In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show "Skylark Tonight." When they discover that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un.
