We all know that Jobs and Wozniak designed a built the first Macs in the garage of Steve Jobs' parents house, yes? Well actually no, that's not how it happened at all, says the man who was also there, Steve Wozniak.
Wozniak was speaking to Business Week about the early days of Apple, when he explained: "The garage is a bit of a myth. We did no designs there, no breadboarding, no prototyping, no planning of products. We did no manufacturing there. The garage didn't serve much purpose, except it was something for us to feel was our home."
So it sounds like there may have been a car in the garage or some old bin liners of clothes or their bikes. Perhaps they turned the bathroom into a clean room and built them in there while wearing hairnets? [Business Week]
