Today's Apple patent discovery concerns an apparent GoPro competitor, with a filing unearthed that sees the company claim to have invented a complete imaging system that includes a camera, mounts, and remote control hardware that could let it be powered by a smartwatch.
The patent filing is packed with images showing the concept at work, with the listing showing what looks like a frame mount for a bike, a smartwatch control interface and formally claiming the system is a "...digital camera system [that] includes an image capture module and a remote control module."
Reports suggest it may not be an entirely new development, though. This was originally a Kodak patent that was filed in 2012, with ownership only recently transferred to Apple. [USPTO via Patently Apple]
