The midlands were literally rocked last night, with geologists reporting that an earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale hit the north. Centring on the village of Cottesmore, it was also reported to have slightly wobbled things as far afield as Derby, Spalding, Peterborough and Dudley.
