An apparently drunk man managed to blag his way to a quick phone chat with the prime minister, after phoning up on a whim and pretending to be the director of spying agency GCHQ.
A spokesperson for Downing Street said Cameron "ended the call when it became clear it was a hoax," although there's no indication of how long the caller managed to keep up the pretence of being GCHQ boss Robert Hannigan. The Sun newspaper had a chat with the caller, who explained: "I've been up all night. I'm utterly wasted. Hilarious." [Reuters]
