We often look at disdain at the US and their large waistbands but this map shows that we aren't far behind them. Put together by Clinic Compare it shows the percentage of the population that is clinically obese.
A third of Americans are obese, as are a quarter of Britons. But there are some potential surprises on the map too: 33 per cent of Saudi Arabians, 32 per cent of Mexicans and 30 per cent of Argentinians and are dangerously overweight, for instance. And that's before you even think about the pacific islands, where well over half the population is clinically obese.
Western fast food culture, processed food and a lack of exercise is making the entire world fat. Maybe it's time we all got of our arses. [Clinic Compare]
