The Pirate Party says it's landed one of its members a sweet little job in the heart of the EU -- rewriting the actual laws that cover the copyright monopoly.
The job is the responsibility of Julia Reda, a 28-year-old Pirate Party member from Germany, who is, at this very moment, curating the legislative document that outlines the laws for the European Parliament. Once drafted up the new rules will have to be debated, agreed upon, voted on and so on, but still. The Pirate Party thinks this is a big win that legitimises its efforts.
