Samsung has announced that all of its forthcoming smart TVs will run on a version of Tizen, the smartphone OS it's entirely coincidentally had quite a large hand in developing.
Despite barely managing to get it pre-loaded on any phones thus far, Tizen has been chosen because it offers a more "intelligent and integrated" option than rival smart systems. So says the company that helped build it.
Samsung TV exec Won Jin Lee said: "Tizen not only enriches the entertainment experience for our customers today, but unlocks great potential for the future in home entertainment." [Samsung Tomorrow]
