Well, someone's just lost their job. Samsung's Unpacked event at this year's MWC conference isn't happening until Sunday evening, but we've already been gifted a very clear view of the company's new wares, courtesy of an apparent leak from US carrier Sprint.
Seemingly confirming that there will be two new phones from Samsung (as we've long expected), it shows two curvy handsets, one potentially slightly taller than the other, and one with a screen that seems as though it's going to extend towards the edge of the phone. The leak in question is an apparent pre-order information sign-up page, promising those that hand over their email addresses a chance to win one of the devices from the network.
Now, it's possible that this is, of course a hoax -- though it carries the same "Six Appeal" tagline that Samsung has been using in its teasers so far, note that the word "edge" is displayed with both capital and lower case lettering. While this could be a mistake on Sprint's behalf, it's unlikely that Samsung would allow inconsistencies like this in its branding and marketing.
Samsung's Unpacked event kicks off at 5.30pm this Sunday. We'll see just how many devices -- and sides, even -- Samsung's got on show then. [Reddit]
