Hey, Sexists! There's an All-Male Ghostbusters Sequel Coming Too

By Gary Cutlack on at

Good news for those raging at the moon about women being allowed in a mainstream film -- there's another new Ghostbusters coming that's going to have men in it instead. Probably to clear up the mess those women made or something.

According to Deadline, original film stars Ivan Reitman and Dan Aykroyd are coming onboard to run a merchandising division at Sony Pictures, which will coincide with the production of a separate "action-centric comedy" Ghostbusters that'll, possibly, star known man Channing Tatum as one of the team. Which is a good thing?

There's no mention as to how this sits with the current Ghostbusters reboot, with Deadline describing it as being a "counterpart" to the new film, rather than a sequel. Perhaps Sony is already planning to reboot the reboot, like it does with poor old Spider-Man every fortnight? Got to keep them on their toes… [Deadline via NME]
