A new HTC model has been spotted in China, the One E9, which takes the styling of the One M9, slims it down a bit and upgrades the display to a 5.5-inch model running at 2,660 x 1,440 resolution. So obviously, we want that one.
According to Engadget China, the phone contains 3GB of RAM, a 2GHz octa-core processor and 20-megapixel main camera, meaning it's more of a larger, alternative One M9 than the scaled-down budget model we may be used to.
It seems strange to produce a seemingly better phone before your new flagship is out of the gates, but maybe like the HTC Butterfly, this will just be a fancy regional option we all wanted for a fortnight, but was destined never to officially launch over here. [Engadget]
