Watch a 95-Year-Old Man Break a 200m Sprint Record

By Gary Cutlack on at

Dr Charles Eugster set a new world record for the 200m recently, clocking an indoor time of 55.48" to take over two seconds off the previous over-95s best time.

Here he is, giving hope to us all. One day, if you train hard and pay attention to the data streaming to your expensive sports tracker, perhaps you too will be able to run 200 entire metres in a row:

Dr Charles was filmed in action by the Silver Grey Sports Club, and also holds record for the 60m and 100m indoors and out. He took up athletics at the age of 85 to try to counter the effects ageing was having on his body. [Standard]
