Just hours away from the launch of its 2015 flagship smartphone, and LG is channelling the spirit of one of its dead rivals to promote the LG G4. Wait...what?
According to the Korea Herald an LG "industry official" spokesperson stated that "If Steve Jobs were alive today, even he would have liked the G4."
Yeeeeaaaaah. We all know how much the iPhone mastermind liked Android, and while he wasn't adverse to software with elements of skeuomorphism in its design, I'm not sure he'd be so keen on that leaked leather backing.
Still, the LG G4 leaked specs, which appeared online yesterday would likely at least have raised Jobs's eyebrows. With a 5.5-inch screen and 2560 x 1440 resolution, the LG G4 is expected to land with a 16MP rear camera and 3,000mAh removable battery that supports wireless charging. A Snapdragon 808 processor is running the show, backed by 3GB of RAM. 32GB of storage is said to come as standard, with microSD cards supported for boosting capacity.
Launching this afternoon, we're heading down to LG's unveiling later today. While we won't be able to say whether or not Jobs really would have been impressed, we'll be sure to share our thoughts at the very least.
