Mad Max! Jurassic World! Bond! 2015 is looking set to be one of the biggest years for blockbuster cinema in recent memory, and no film is more highly anticipated than Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Not due in cinemas until December 18th, all eyes so far have been on the single trailer released back in November of last year. But you'll soon have another chance to goggle the galaxy far, far away.
According to Collider, you'll want to be making you way to a cinema on May 1st for the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Marvel superhero sequel will be preceded by a brand-new teaser for the seventh Star Wars film, rolling before the spandex starts flying. Alternatively, you'll be able to see the trailer by heading to the Star Wars Celebration Convention in Anaheim, where it is expected to exclusively premiere on April 16th.
With both Marvel and Lucasfilm now living in the magical Disney kingdom, it's not a surprising move. In fact, it's a no brainer to put the trailer for the biggest film of the year in front of the sequel to one of the top-grossing movies ever.
If superhero flicks aren't your cup of radioactive tea, I wouldn't worry too much though. With people likely attempting to leak the trailer onto YouTube as soon as it airs, I'd say Disney will be...ahem...forced to put the trailer online in its full HD glory soon afterwards. Patience, padawans. [Collider]
