Davy Linden has used countless smooth plates for a perfect finish on his impressively-detailed Lego model of a Volvo excavator. But even if he hadn’t, the model is so massive that it would actually be hard to discern individual studs just looking at the photos of it he recently posted to his Flickr page.
It’s only when you’re looking at close-up detailed shots of the model, and can start to recognise individual Lego pieces, that you get a better sense of just how large this build really is. If Davy were to motorise his creation, it could probably serve as a lazy replacement for your shovel when it comes to working in your backyard garden. [Flickr via The Brothers Brick]
