A group of campaigners calling itself Amazon Anonymous has launched a new website and video highlighting what it alleges are the poor working conditions that come with working for the retail giant.
The campaign started life as a petition calling for Amazon to pay its employees a living wage, though it has since drawn in others unhappy with Amazon's approach to the book publishing industry and its tax practices.
The new video is timed to coincide with the company's AGM on June 10th. In it you can see testimony in which former employees allege that they were forced to suffer physically exhausting work, punishing working targets, and mass lay-offs of shift workers in the middle of the night.
This all sounds rather unpleasant. Though Amazon would surely deny many of the claims too. It'll be interesting to see if it can make an impact ahead of the AGM.
