Want to get a Cheeky Nandos with the #lads, but don't want to leave the sofa? Now you can!
Surprisingly, this isn't because Nandos has started delivering - but because a company called Deliveroo acts as an intermediary - picking your food up from the restaurant and delivering it to your door, for as little as £2.50 for orders over £15. The company has partnered with a number of different restaurants that don't normally deliver, to offer delivery services. The service has partnered with a number of different restaurants, serving a wide variety of food.
The company was founded in 2012 and is currently undergoing a major expansion, including launching in Glasgow and Edinburgh. The company plans to operate in 30 cities by the end of the year.
The BBC notes that whilst similar to websites like Just Eat and Hungry House, Deliveroo goes a step further in not just connecting up restaurants to the internet, but providing the drivers too. Deliveroo is also, apparently, aiming itself at classier establishments than the greasy takeaways on its rival services - hence, umm, why it has gone with Nandos...
So next time you're hungover, but your mate Callum, who is a total ledge suggests a cheeky Nandos to accompany your top bants - remember there's always Deliveroo as an ultra-lazy option.
Now when is someone going to invent Uber but for ice cream vans?
