It's coming! It's coming! It's not a piss take or a hoax or anything! Fallout 4 will be revealed at 3pm GMT on June 3rd. That's tomorrow, and that's straight from the horse's mouth, developers Bethesda.
It's revealed a countdown timer over at Fallout.Bethesda.com, which features the series' signature TV test card.
The news follows months (if not years) of rumours surrounding the unveiling of the latest game in the veritable franchise. Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas were among the most-loved of last generation games, but the franchise has been put on ice following the overwhelming response Bethesda received for the franchises' fantasy brethren, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It's interesting that Bethesda chooses to reveal the game ahead of its first ever E3 conference however, so it's quite possible that tomorrow may bring with it merely a teaser trailer to drum up interest in Bethesda's E3 appearance, with a more meaty display occurring at the event itself.
As for Fallout 4 itself, not much is known. Marking the first time Bethesda will have brought one of its sprawling RPGs to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One generation of consoles, it's thought to be set in the American city of Boston. It'll likely feature irradiated mutants, dilapidated post-nuclear blast locales and the dark, witty humour that the series has become known for. And war. War never changes.
