It has been a rough few weeks for scientists in the aftermath of the row over Tim Hunt's sexist comments, so here's some good news: Lego is making more scientist Lego sets.
Scientific American has revealed that the forthcoming Space Port and Deep Sea Explorers set will come complete with women characters – something that seems refreshingly progressive, even though it shouldn't be.
The company will also be releasing a Big Bang Theory set in August, which unlike the show itself, will render the women characters in a full three dimensions:
The new releases follow the success of the Lego "Research Institute" set, which was originally fan-created, and led to the brilliant Lego Academics Twitter account:
