Earlier this week we discovered that little-known British actor Tom Holland will play Spider-Man in the forthcoming re-reboot, which will see the web slinger join Iron Man, Thor and company as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It turns out though that the 19 year old might just be utterly perfect for the role.
Holland has been regularly Instagramming videos of himself doing all sorts of jumps, flips and so on - essentially doing the sorts of things that you might hope that a Spider can.
It is almost as though he has been practicing for the role.
The new Spider-Man film isn't due for a while - it is currently pencilled in for July 2017, but rumours and speculation suggests that the character could be putting in an appearance in Captain America: Civil War, which is currently shooting and due in May next year, which will hopefully expunge our last memories of 2012's Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The film is expected to follow the plot of the popular comic story arc which saw Marvel's superheroes forced to take sides when the government decides it wants to regulate people with powers - a move that pits pro-registration Iron Man and anti-registration Captain America against each other. A tonne of other Marvel cast members have already been confirmed to be returning - including Black Widow and Hawkeye, but now the question will surely be: Whose side will Spidey take?
