Forza 6 Will Let You Race Formula E Cars (But Will Anyone Want To?)

By James O Malley on at

The developer of Forza 6 has announced that the forthcoming Xbox One racer will feature ten new cars, drawn from the teams that take part in Formula E.

Formula E is the electric cousin of F1, and had its inaugural season conclude last weekend in London when Nelson Piquet Jr was crowned champion. Uniquely, Formula E requires all drivers to pilot the same car, the Renault Spark SRT_01E, so it is all down to the driver. So presumably the ten new Forza cars will all be fairly similar, but with different liveries for the different teams. Whether anyone will want to use the new cars remains to be seen: the final of race was watched in Britain by a mildly disappointing 1.2m people, about average for its timeslot.

The Formula E additions will make up the 450 cars that will be available in the game. The developer has also announced the addition of the following list of cars. The most interesting perhaps being the Bugatti Veyron, the world's fastest production car, and the VW Beetle because, well, its a Beetle. Here's the full list:
