The recently revealed HTC One M9+ will be launching in Europe, but not our part of it, with HTC confirming that the larger version of this year's high-end model won't be getting an official UK launch. Probably because we seem to be falling out of love with the former Android hardware star and are all a bit confused about what's new and old with these weird model names.
The news of the UK snub comes via Techradar, which appears to have gone beyond the call of duty by actually asking someone at HTC to confirm whether something they've seen on the internet is true or not. The man or woman at HTC said "no" to the prospect of a UK release for the HTC One M9+, so the slightly fiddled with M9 with its 5.2-inch screen and increased 1440 x 2560 resolution output will have to stay a pipedream for UK phone enthusiasts wanting an official model, much like the similarly tweaked HTC One ME.
Although Amazon Germany will probably do you a M9+ if you really must, seeing as we're all part of one happy shopping continent and the phone is being given a proper European release in some of the more HTC-friendly countries. [Techradar]
