I’m not a particularly big Tom Cruise fan but even I have to admit, the Mission Impossible movies are great fun. The powers behind that film franchise have pretty much mastered the art of spy action movie making and know exactly what we want: cool spy antics, crazy stunts that put Tom Cruise in danger, exotic locales, Tom Cruise running and kick-ass action sequences.
That’s why it’s surprising to hear that the first Mission Impossible didn’t even include a shootout scene, that’s right, Ethan Hawke never fired his weapon.
